For someone employed in a netcentric workplace, I don't seem to find time to blog often. Am on the evening shift this week, but today there will be a final training session in the afternoon. As expected, work is getting tough. It was probably unintended hindsight that I went from one stressful period (of uni projects) into another, making it somewhat of an easy transition. Then again, humans do need a brief respite!
Despite all odds, I ended up being pulled into IIUM's CanSat team again. The 2010 competition will be held in Spain again, and will encompass more international teams.Yes, ex students can still join.. though I wonder who in Madrid made that sort of provision (curse you!.. kidding). Not up to the spectacle of US's CanSat competitions yet, but its surely getting there. Am I excited? Sort of. A small part of me enjoys working in things like this, but there's always a cost. I still ponder on the things I had to sacrifice before. Now I need to find time to split between my job and contributing to the team.. but for sure, my job takes top priority. I just hope I can delegate the tasks to whoever my apprentice is =)
I got to play bball with some old friends last Sunday. It was the most tiring workout ever.. I think we played for almost two hours. I'm only 23, but I felt triple that.. I was out of breath quickly and my lower back issues persisted whenever I jumped. Though, it was a good workout nonetheless. Its an old passion between me and basketball.. so I'm glad I still get to play it (barely). Who knows? Could be a comeback year for me! *grin*

Experience is alright so far, but I'm still trying to adapt to the crazy shifts they have. I hope you'll get to do something you like after leaving the IT industry!
